How do I convert PPTX to PDF for sharing or printing?

Can I still edit the content after converting PPTX to PDF?

Not the way you edit the PPTX. The PDF is a delivery format: it fixes the layout so it renders identically everywhere, which is exactly why it resists editing. Keep the PPTX as the working copy and regenerate the PDF whenever the content changes — round-tripping back out of PDF always loses something. PDF is Adobe’s Portable Document Format from 1993, standardised as ISO 32000 and now the universal fixed-layout document.
Will the PDF open directly in a browser?

Yes, and the PPTX would not have. Browsers ship a decoder for PDF and none for PPTX, so a PPTX link forces a download while a PDF renders inline. That is usually the deciding factor when the file is going onto a web page rather than into an application. A PDF looks byte-for-byte identical on every machine and every printer, which is why contracts, invoices and academic papers all live in it.
What happens to slide animations and transitions?

They are not carried across, because build timing has no representation outside a presentation format. Each slide becomes a static page showing its final state, so anything that was revealed progressively appears all at once. Speaker notes are preserved separately wherever the target has a field for them.
Will the PPTX to PDF conversion keep my fonts and formatting?

Yes for text-bearing PPTX (DOCX, ODT, HTML, TXT) — fonts are embedded into the PDF so the output looks identical on every viewer. Image-only PPTX (JPG, PNG) just centers the image on the page; layout is N/A.
Can I merge multiple PPTX files into one PDF?

What page size and orientation will the PDF use?

Will hyperlinks in my PPTX survive the PDF conversion?

Yes for PPTX formats that have real hyperlink metadata (DOCX, ODT, HTML). Image-based PPTX (JPG, PNG, TIFF) have no hyperlinks to preserve. The PDF file uses standard PDF URL actions so links work in every PDF reader.
Is the PDF searchable (selectable text)?

How big will the PDF file be?

Depends on the PPTX. A 10-page DOCX with embedded fonts produces a 200-400 KB PDF. A 10-image JPG batch at full resolution produces a 5-20 MB PDF. The advanced options expose a "compress images in PDF" toggle that recompresses embedded images at JPG quality 85.
