SVG to TIFF Conversion FAQ
How do I convert SVG to TIFF without losing image quality?
+
Upload your SVG file, then our converter applies format-aware quality optimization for TIFF output. For lossless formats (PNG, TIFF, BMP) we preserve every pixel; for lossy formats (JPG, WebP) you can tune the quality factor before download.
How does text inside the SVG behave?
+
In an SVG, text is real text — selectable, searchable and re-styleable, and it needs the font to be available or embedded to render as intended. Converting away from SVG turns that text into pixels or into document text depending on the target; converting towards SVG only produces real text if the source had a text layer to begin with.
What about EXIF metadata when converting SVG to TIFF?
+
In most conversions, camera EXIF fields such as the camera model and GPS position are not carried into the TIFF. There is no setting on this page to keep or remove metadata, so check the result with a metadata viewer if it matters.
Can I batch-convert hundreds of SVG files to TIFF at once?
+
Several files in one job need a paid plan. Free use is one file per conversion, one conversion an hour. On a paid plan you can add several files to one job, then download each result on its own or all of them in one ZIP.
What resolution and dimensions will my TIFF file have?
+
Default behaviour is 1:1 — your TIFF output has the same pixel dimensions as the source SVG. Use a separate /resize-image/ step after conversion if you need to downscale or upscale as part of the workflow.
How small can the TIFF file get without visible artifacts?
+
For JPG / WebP, quality 75-85 typically gets the file 60-80% smaller than the source SVG with no visible difference at normal viewing distance. For lossless targets (PNG, TIFF), expect smaller savings — usually 5-30% via better deflate / LZW compression.
Are my SVG files private during conversion?
+
Yes. Uploaded SVG files are processed on our own servers and are never viewed or shared. Uploads and converted images are deleted automatically about 24 hours after conversion. The full privacy policy is at /privacy/.
Why is my converted TIFF file bigger / smaller than I expected?
+
An SVG file with strong compression (e.g. heavily lossy JPG) often grows when re-encoded to a lossless TIFF (PNG, TIFF), and a high-bitrate lossless SVG often shrinks dramatically when going to JPG / WebP. The ratio depends on image content (photos compress differently from line art).
