MOV files are large, and outside the Apple ecosystem playback support is patchier than MP4 — older Android builds and some Smart TVs will refuse them.
Can I tag the FLAC with artist and album information?

Will the FLAC play in my car or on older hardware?

If the destination is a car stereo or a portable player, that is a strong argument for staying on MOV.
