How do I convert WebP to JPEG without losing image quality?

My WebP is animated — what happens to the other frames?

Only the first frame survives, because JPEG is a still format with nowhere to store the rest. If the animation matters, target a format that animates, or convert to a video container instead and keep the motion. JPEG shares every JPG limitation — no alpha, generational loss on re-save — with the added nuisance of software that treats the two extensions differently.
What about EXIF metadata when converting WebP to JPEG?

In most conversions, camera EXIF fields such as the camera model and GPS position are not carried into the JPEG. There is no setting on this page to keep or remove metadata, so check the result with a metadata viewer if it matters.

What resolution and dimensions will my JPEG file have?

Default behaviour is 1:1 — your JPEG output has the same pixel dimensions as the source WebP. Use a separate /resize-image/ step after conversion if you need to downscale or upscale as part of the workflow.
How small can the JPEG file get without visible artifacts?

For JPG / WebP, quality 75-85 typically gets the file 60-80% smaller than the source WebP with no visible difference at normal viewing distance. For lossless targets (PNG, TIFF), expect smaller savings — usually 5-30% via better deflate / LZW compression.
Are my WebP files private during conversion?

Why is my converted JPEG file bigger / smaller than I expected?

A WebP file with strong compression (e.g. heavily lossy JPG) often grows when re-encoded to a lossless JPEG (PNG, TIFF), and a high-bitrate lossless WebP often shrinks dramatically when going to JPG / WebP. The ratio depends on image content (photos compress differently from line art).
