How do I convert WebP to JPG without losing image quality?

My WebP is animated — what happens to the other frames?

Only the first frame survives, because JPG is a still format with nowhere to store the rest. If the animation matters, target a format that animates, or convert to a video container instead and keep the motion. JPG has no transparency, degrades further every time it is re-saved, and produces visible blocking on flat colour and sharp text.
What about EXIF metadata when converting WebP to JPG?

In most conversions, camera EXIF fields such as the camera model and GPS position are not carried into the JPG. There is no setting on this page to keep or remove metadata, so check the result with a metadata viewer if it matters.
Can I batch-convert hundreds of WebP files to JPG at once?

What resolution and dimensions will my JPG file have?

Default behaviour is 1:1 — your JPG output has the same pixel dimensions as the source WebP. Use a separate /resize-image/ step after conversion if you need to downscale or upscale as part of the workflow.
How small can the JPG file get without visible artifacts?

For JPG / WebP, quality 75-85 typically gets the file 60-80% smaller than the source WebP with no visible difference at normal viewing distance. For lossless targets (PNG, TIFF), expect smaller savings — usually 5-30% via better deflate / LZW compression.
Are my WebP files private during conversion?

Why is my converted JPG file bigger / smaller than I expected?

A WebP file with strong compression (e.g. heavily lossy JPG) often grows when re-encoded to a lossless JPG (PNG, TIFF), and a high-bitrate lossless WebP often shrinks dramatically when going to JPG / WebP. The ratio depends on image content (photos compress differently from line art).
