DOC to PPT Conversion FAQ
How do I convert a DOC file to PPT?
+
Upload your DOC file using the picker above and the converter detects the source type and runs the DOC → PPT pipeline. The result downloads automatically when conversion completes; no account needed for one-off conversions.
Will the text still reflow to my screen after converting DOC to PPT?
+
No — this conversion pins the layout. A DOC adapts its line breaks to whatever width and font size the reader is using; the PPT fixes page geometry at conversion time, so on a phone you get the whole page scaled down rather than text rewrapped to the screen. That is the right trade when the layout must not move, and the wrong one when the file is for reading on a small device. DOC is still the format a great many corporate templates, legal precedents and government forms are stored in. PPT is the binary Microsoft PowerPoint presentation format from PowerPoint 97 through 2003.
Is the older binary Office format still a safe bet?
+
It opens everywhere, but it is a compatibility choice rather than a good one. The binary formats predate the XML packages, carry macro payloads that many mail servers strip on sight, and are being steadily deprecated by Microsoft itself. Use them when a specific piece of old software demands them, and the XML format otherwise. PPT loses fidelity in modern PowerPoint, and its embedded media often references codecs that no longer exist on current machines.
What happens to slide animations and transitions?
+
They are not carried across, because build timing has no representation outside a presentation format. Each slide becomes a static page showing its final state, so anything that was revealed progressively appears all at once. Speaker notes are preserved separately wherever the target has a field for them.
Is the DOC to PPT converter free?
+
Yes — basic DOC → PPT conversion is free with no registration. Premium adds higher per-file size limits, more parallel batch workers, and removes ads.
How big a DOC file can I convert to PPT?
+
Free accounts: up to 100 MB per DOC file. Premium: typically 1 GB per file, depending on the DOC source type. Very large files are split into chunks server-side when the PPT format allows.
Will conversion change the content of my DOC?
+
Conversion preserves all information that both DOC and PPT can represent. Format-specific features that the PPT format doesn't support (e.g. vector data in raster output, formulas in plain-text output) are rasterized or stripped — see the format-specific notes on the result page.
Can I convert many DOC files to PPT at once?
+
Yes — drop multiple DOC files into the upload zone and they are queued in parallel. Premium has more parallel workers; on a 50-file batch this is the difference between minutes and seconds.
Does the DOC to PPT converter work on phones and tablets?
+
Yes — the UI is responsive and the conversion pipeline runs server-side, so mobile devices upload-then-download just like desktops. iOS and Android browser file pickers (camera roll, Files app) work end-to-end.
Which browsers does the DOC to PPT converter support?
+
Chrome, Firefox, Safari (15+), Edge, and Opera. The converter uses standard `<input type="file">` upload — no WebAssembly or PWA dependencies — so even older browsers work.
Are my DOC files kept private?
+
Yes — uploaded DOC files are processed in isolated workers and deleted within minutes. We never view, retain, or share content. See /privacy/ for the data-retention window.
What if the PPT download doesn't start automatically?
+
Disable any pop-up blocker, then click the download button manually. The result link stays active for 24 hours, so if your network fails mid-download, you can re-trigger from the result page without re-uploading the DOC.
