PSD to TIFF Conversion FAQ

How do I convert PSD to TIFF without losing image quality?
+
Upload your PSD file, then our converter applies format-aware quality optimization for TIFF output. For lossless formats (PNG, TIFF, BMP) we preserve every pixel; for lossy formats (JPG, WebP) you can tune the quality factor before download.
In most conversions, camera EXIF fields such as the camera model and GPS position are not carried into the TIFF. There is no setting on this page to keep or remove metadata, so check the result with a metadata viewer if it matters.
Several files in one job need a paid plan. Free use is one file per conversion, one conversion an hour. On a paid plan you can add several files to one job, then download each result on its own or all of them in one ZIP.
Default behaviour is 1:1 — your TIFF output has the same pixel dimensions as the source PSD. Use a separate /resize-image/ step after conversion if you need to downscale or upscale as part of the workflow.
For JPG / WebP, quality 75-85 typically gets the file 60-80% smaller than the source PSD with no visible difference at normal viewing distance. For lossless targets (PNG, TIFF), expect smaller savings — usually 5-30% via better deflate / LZW compression.
Yes. Uploaded PSD files are processed on our own servers and are never viewed or shared. Uploads and converted images are deleted automatically about 24 hours after conversion. The full privacy policy is at /privacy/.
A PSD file with strong compression (e.g. heavily lossy JPG) often grows when re-encoded to a lossless TIFF (PNG, TIFF), and a high-bitrate lossless PSD often shrinks dramatically when going to JPG / WebP. The ratio depends on image content (photos compress differently from line art).
Yes. The conversion is a format change — copyright on the image content stays with you (or whoever held it on the source PSD). We add no watermark, no metadata stamp, and claim no licence over the output.

PSD

PSD (Photoshop Document) is the native file format for Adobe Photoshop. PSD files store layered images, allowing for non-destructive editing and saving design elements. They are crucial for publishing-grade graphic design and photo manipulation.

TIFF

TIFF files include high bit depths and lossless compression, ideal for publishing-grade photography and printing.
