Why is my RTF formatting different from how the EPUB looked on Kindle?

Kindle / Kobo apply their own reader CSS on top of the EPUB's embedded styles. The RTF we produce reflects the EPUB's actual encoded styling, not the reader's overrides. That's usually what you want for editing — it shows what the publisher intended.
Does EPUB to RTF preserve footnotes / endnotes?

Yes — popup-style footnotes in the EPUB become real Word / RTF footnotes in the RTF (Insert → Footnote round-tripped). Endnotes become endnotes. Cross-references stay linked between the body text and the note.
Will the RTF include the cover image from the EPUB?

Why does my RTF have weird spacing between paragraphs?

CSS `margin-bottom` on `<p>` in the EPUB sometimes maps to a Word "Space After" value the editor doesn't expect. Select-all and apply a paragraph style to normalize. The RTF content is correct; only the visual spacing differs.
Can I batch convert many EPUB books into RTF files?
