Does EPUB to Markdown preserve footnotes / endnotes?

Yes — popup-style footnotes in the EPUB become real Word / RTF footnotes in the Markdown (Insert → Footnote round-tripped). Endnotes become endnotes. Cross-references stay linked between the body text and the note.
Will the Markdown include the cover image from the EPUB?

Why does my Markdown have weird spacing between paragraphs?

CSS `margin-bottom` on `<p>` in the EPUB sometimes maps to a Word "Space After" value the editor doesn't expect. Select-all and apply a paragraph style to normalize. The Markdown content is correct; only the visual spacing differs.
Can I batch convert many EPUB books into Markdown files?
